| Q: |
What is an ITE Web seminar? |
| A: |
A Web seminar is a PowerPoint presentation viewed over the Internet with the oral piece of the presentation heard via touch-tone telephone—like a conference call or by voice over IP (computer speakers). A copy of the PowerPoint presentation and supplemental materials are provided prior to the course. Successful completion of the Web seminar includes passing an online quiz and evaluation and submitting a sign-in sheet.. The Web seminar earns PDH or IACET CEU. |
|
|
| Q: |
What is the difference between a Web seminar and a Web briefing? |
|
A: |
The Web seminar is described above. ITE’s Web briefings are conducted in the same manner, however, they are primarily for information sharing to address “hot topics,” which include, but are not limited to new publications, research, legislation and/or regulatory issues. A PowerPoint presentation is provided to participants. Successful completion of the Web briefing includes submitting a sign-in sheet and completing a course evaluation. The Web briefing earns PDH. |

supplemental materials or for additional information. |
|
|
| Q: |
Do I need special
software to participate in a Web seminar/briefing?
|
| A: |
You
do not need special software, just an up-to-date Internet browser (6.0 or later).

Verify that
you have the current JAVA Script on your computer http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
A participant can hear the presenter
through the computer speakers using Microsoft Windows Media Player. This
player, by default, is included with your Windows operating system.
Should you need to upgrade/reinstall the Media Player do so from this
web site: www.microsoft.com/windows/windowmedia/download/default.asp
Firewall
and virus scanning software may interfere with your ability to connect
to the internet portion. |
|
|
| Q: |
How do we interact with the presenter/s? |

Type your question anytime during the Web

during the designated Q & A segment.
At the presenter’s discretion, there may be an audio Q&A
segment where you can verbally ask the presenters a question at the end of
the session. (Not available for participants using streaming media). At the designated Q&A segment a dialogue box will appear on
your screen indicating that the audio Q&A session is now activated. To
ask a question, press the star (*) button on your phone and your phone line
will be un-muted. It is similar procedure to having a conference call. |

How do I get access to the quiz? |
| A: |
Immediately after the Web seminar the primary registrant will receive an
email with the link to access the quiz. It is the primary registrant's
responsibility to distribute that email to the site participants. Each quiz
taker can access the online quiz once. Once the quiz taker completes and
logs out of the quiz, the quiz taker will not get access to the quiz again. |
|
|

You are notified of the results within one month after the seminar - pass or

|
|
| Q: |
My state does not require PDH/CEU; do I still have to take the quiz? |

No, but we ask that you complete a hardcopy of the course evaluation and
return the attendance sheet to ITE. If you take the online quiz for personal
assessment then you will be billed for the online quiz. Please note,
